So, just wrapped up on Action boy - an eight minute short that I’ve written and directed.

I think it could actually be fantastic.

Today we shot the war / battle scene which was interesting to say the least. Very ambitious. Our lecturer was shitting himself that we were using guns…and basically said that he wouldn’t mark it if we did.I went to him and sorted the situation out, but our group were still worried that we’d dissapoint him if we used guns, even though we now had permission to do so.

I personally wouldn’t have cared, I’d prefer to make a great film than ever get a ‘great grade.’ I only wish the crew thought that, so I had to comprimise. The group were obviously split into two groups, some obviously thinking a war scene without guns would be silly and those that were scared to dissapoint our lecturer.

Interesting.

So I took away the guns form the main actors, and only used them for cut aways. So, there’s gonna be a University version and a proper version.

But the actors were fantastic, and i really enjoyed working with them. Such a relief. The Officer in particular did a fantastic job and i’m really looking forward to editing it.
